more about l'uccelliera

We are small, family business breeding lovebirds, parrotlets, cockatiels and parakeets. Soon we will add English Budgies to our aviary.

Our state-of-the-art facility is located in our home, and all ou r birds have a spacious cage, lots of toys, perches, and are fed a healthy diet consisting of greenies, commercial pellets, seeds and Roudybush.

All birds are hand fed, and DNA sexed at the time they are weaned and ready to be transferred, so you will get a healthy bird and a very sweet and manageable baby.

Currently we do not ship birds, but will do so in the near future, but check the ordering page for more details. As always, drop us an email to find out what we’re breeding.

We are located a few miles outside New York City in northern New Jersey, and have been breeding lovebirds for over ten years, mostly out of personal interest. Just recently we started breeding commercially.

Francisco is a licensed veterinary technician practicing in New York City's Animal Medical Center.

Though we love and care for all our birds, we started with lovebirds and have worked with them for so long that our pairs can now produce more than twenty different color mutations across three species.

We currently raise three of the nine lovebird species: peach-faced, masked, and fischer’s.

The peach-faced mutations we raise include violets, pieds, orange-faces, cremino, Australian cinnamon, normal green, and American yellow.

Among the masked lovebirds we breed are blue, green, and dilutes.

Fischer’s mutations include green, dilute green and yellow.
